Distributed
computing using self-managing, self-correcting peer-to-peer systems are now the
underlying secret sauce for state-of-art for both cloud computing services –
either public or private cloud – as well as end-consumer systems, applications
and services that use the peer-to-peer paradigm to provide unprecedented value
to the consumer – something that was not imaginable until now. My
research focus is on real-time data analysis using peer-to-peer infrastructure
with varying constrains (time, device power, management, number of users,
physical environment, security, social behaviour). Infrastructure
components can be sensors, smartphones or desktop PCs connected to the Internet
through a layer of routers and switches.
