Distributed computing using self-managing, self-correcting peer-to-peer systems are now the underlying secret sauce for state-of-art for both cloud computing services – either public or private cloud – as well as end-consumer systems, applications and services that use the peer-to-peer paradigm to provide unprecedented value to the consumer – something that was not imaginable until now. My research focus is on real-time data analysis using peer-to-peer infrastructure with varying constrains (time, device power, management, number of users, physical environment, security, social behavior . Infrastructure components can be sensors, smartphones or desktop PCs connected to the Internet through a layer of routers and switches.
